You will play a crucial role in creating, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites tailored to our clients’ diverse needs. Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Create and develop any type of WordPress website from scratch using required plugins and extensions. Implement customized themes, including popular ones like Avada and Divi.
- Theme & Plugin Customization: Focus on developing, debugging, and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, leveraging WordPress API, hooks, and custom post types.
- Design Implementation: Work with relevant teams to gather requirements and translate them into site architecture, layout, and user interfaces that deliver outstanding results.
- Website Maintenance: Conduct general website maintenance, regular updates, and troubleshooting to ensure peak performance and security.
- Landing Page Development: Design and develop engaging landing pages for strategic campaigns to drive conversions.
- Performance & Optimization: Optimize websites for SEO and usability, ensuring a seamless and attractive user experience across devices.
- Hosting & Server Coordination: Liaise with hosting service providers and manage server configurations, including cPanel, to ensure optimal website performance.
- Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code that adheres to WordPress coding standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to implement proactive strategies that enhance user experience and revenue growth.
- Analytics Integration: Apply tracking codes (e.g., Google Analytics) for data-driven insights and monitoring.
- Internal Tools & Processes: Contribute to and refine internal tools and processes to boost efficiency and quality.
- Adherence to Best Practices: Follow industry standards and best practices for security, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a focus on theme and plugin development, preferably 3+ years in a commercial environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL, with familiarity in frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
- WordPress Expertise: Strong knowledge of WordPress API, hooks, and custom post types.
- Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- SEO & Usability: Deep understanding of SEO, website architecture, and responsive design principles.
- Server-Side Skills: Experience with hosting fundamentals, including server-side configurations.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to create aesthetically appealing, functional, and secure websites with high attention to detail.
